- Deddy and Ervina demonstrate dance
Located on the fourth floor ballroom Widya University of Kartika (Uwika), Deddy, Ervina, Puguh, Yessi, and Fredo joined in SMEs Uwika Dance on Friday (6/7) expressed their gratitude directly to the university’s rector and BEM BLM Widya Kartika for the support given so far. Because of that, they managed to win the Open Championship Cup Dance Sport Surabaya Mayor & Modern Dance Championships 2012. In the event which was held in the Milky Restaurant on June 9, 2012, Ervina Lukmanto from Mandarin and Dedy Rahardjo from Accounting won some great achievements which were Champion of Latin Beginner Samba, Latin Beginner Jive, Latin Beginner Rumba, Latin Beginner Cha Cha Cha, and Latin Medal Test. On the other hand, Yesinia Queen Lado from Mandarin and Puguh Satrio from Accounting became the 3rd Runner-up of Latin Beginner Samba and Latin Beginner Jive.
The rectorate, represented by Dra. Felicia O Dien Koeswanto expressed their pride over the success that once again scored by the members of Dance UKM since it is not a new thing for Deddy, Ervina, and friends to become champion in many dance competitions.
“Actually the Dance Competition is divided into five levels”, said Fredo, the Moderator of the event, “There are Beginner, Novice, Pre Amateur, Amateur, and Professional”. In the competition, Uwika’s Dance Team had performed their attractions for about 10 minutes. Dedy and friends’ victory has proven that they deserve to be the most competent dance athletes in their class.
